The term bangers supposedly originated during World War I, when meat shortages resulted in sausages' being made with a number of fillers, notably water, that caused them to explode when cooked!
We can guarantee our Greendale sausage, will only explode with flavour! All Greendale sausages are hand-made at the Farm Shop, using high-quality meat from our own farm-raised pigs. The Greendale butchers hand-make more than ten different varieties of sausage every single day.
We’ve crowd-pleasers, like our Traditional Old English and Cumberland Sausages, and specialist sausages, including Venison and a gluten-free variety.
