Ale partners beautifully with the artisanal cheeses in our Deli. Here are some suggestions from our Deli manager, Matt:

EXETER BREWERY FERRYMAN ALE
500ml | 4.2%
A timely classic well balanced bitter. Pairs lovingly with local Devon cheese such as Quickes Mature Cheddar and Devon Blue.

HANLONS PORT STOUT
500ml | 4%
Rich, malty, dark, chocolate with subtle notes of port and roast coffee. Goes well with creamy blues or velvety cheese such as Montagnolo and Delice de Bourgogne.

DYNAMITE VALLEY PIONEER
500ml | 4.3% ABV
A continental style wheat beer brewed with a definitive orange taste. These big tastes go hand in hand with stronger European cheeses such as Brie de Meaux and Manchego.

BLACK TOR BLONDE
500ml | 3.8% ABV
A lighter, refreshing blonde pale ale. The crispness bounces off subtle, lightly flavoured cheese such as Cornish Yarg, Comte and Dorset Blue Vinney.

POWDERKEG DREAMLAND
440ml | 4.5% ABV
Our in-house beer experts’ current favourite tipple. Full of flavour, haziness and bold crisp fruity notes. Smash the big flavours with our strongest cheddar Glastonbury Twanger or the big on smoke Dorset Red.

GREENDALE LAGER
440ml | 4.2% ABV
Our own new lager brewed to be refreshing, crisp and light without sacrificing flavour. Local favourites Sharpham Brie and Quickes Goats Cheese compliment the beers taste, you may even need another!
