Topping Ideas for Baked Camembert

Simple and delicious, baked camembert is great for sharing – give yours a finishing flourish with these super-tasty topping ideas. Each recipe will top one 250g camembert cheese.

ALMOND, ROSEMARY & GARLIC

Ingredients: 
1 tbsp Olive Oil
10 whole Almonds, skin-on, cut into slivers
1 clove Garlic, peeled and sliced thinly
1 sprig fresh Rosemary, leaves stripped and chopped finely

Method:
Put the olive oil in a frying pan over a low-medium heat; add the slivered nuts and cook, stirring every so often, until the nuts are taking on a golden colour. Add the garlic and cook for a minute, then stir in the rosemary and cook for one more minute. Spoon over the top of the baked camembert and serve.

BALSAMIC CRANBERRIES & THYME

Ingredients:
100g fresh or frozen Cranberries
1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
2 tbsp Golden Caster Sugar
Small sprig fresh Thyme, leaves only

Method:
Put the cranberries, caster sugar and vinegar in a saucepan and place over a medium heat. Cook, stirring, until the sugar has all dissolved, then increase the heat to a simmer and cook for a further 8-10 minutes, until the cranberries are soft and jammy. Spoon on top of the baked camembert, then scatter over the thyme leaves to serve.

HONEY-GLAZED WALNUTS

Ingredients:
6-8 Walnut Halves (depending on how big they are)
3 tbsp Runny Honey
1 tbsp Soft Brown Sugar

Method:
Put the nuts, honey and sugar in a small pan over a medium heat and stir until the sugar has melted and the nuts are coated in a sticky glaze. Spoon over the baked camembert to serve.
