It’s National Pie Week in Britain this week, a joyous celebration of rich pastry, well-chosen fillings (savoury or sweet) and general deliciousness.
At Greendale we never underestimate the power of pie; sometimes nothing else will do. With this in mind, our butchers always have ready-diced beef, lamb and pork in stock, as well as a steak and kidney mix and a selection of game (when in season). Our fishmongers have created a tasty fish pie mix, using premium fresh and smoked fish and shellfish, and we’ve plenty of fresh veg, too, as well as organic flour for the perfect pastry.
