Full of free-range flavour, Greendale Chicken Legs are perfect when you feel like a roast but don’t want to cook a whole bird. Each leg is just the right size for one portion, so this pack will feed two generously.
Greendale poultry products are sourced from our carefully chosen supplier, Creedy Carver, based at Merrifield Farm in Crediton, Devon. Peter and Sue Coleman pride themselves on producing top-quality chickens whilst maintaining a very sympathetic approach to bird welfare. From one day old, their chicks remain in temperature-controlled brooder units; at 28 days old they’re moved to free range units, which are either straw-bale shacks or special chicken arks. From here, they can roam grassy fields while enjoying protection from predators and the elements, thanks to their specialist housing. The birds are fed a low-density diet free from GM ingredients, additives or antibiotics, which allows them to grow more slowly, reaching maturity at their own pace. This simple lifestyle and natural environment combine to produce the delicious-tasting chicken that Greendale customers love.
Chicken legs are a fairly large bone-in cut, and include all the tender meat from the thigh and drumstick.
To roast your chicken legs, preheat the oven to 190°C/gas mark 5. Place the chicken on a baking tray and cook in the centre of the oven for about 45 minutes, until the juices run clear. Remove from the oven, cover loosely with foil and leave to rest for at least five minutes before serving.

Local Delivery £4.95 - We offer a local delivery service for customers living in the EX1 to EX15 postcode areas. Choose from ‘Same day’ (orders placed by 12pm), ‘Next day’ (orders placed by 2pm) or ‘Specified day’ delivery. (up to seven days in the future, Monday to Sunday).
National Delivery From £7.95 - Order before 2pm and receive your items the next day, between 8am and 8pm. You can also specify whether you’d like it delivered in the morning or on a different day (up to seven days in the future, Tuesday to Sunday).
Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
