GIFT IDEA #5 - RECYCLED CanDLE CO.

We love these beautiful candles - all the more so because they’re carefully crafted from waste material. The Recycled Candle Co. team collects scrap candle wax, preventing it from going to landfill, then melts it down, cleans it, dyes it and scents it before using it to make new candles. Customers are encouraged to deposit old candles, including here at Greendale. These are then recycled again – a clever, ‘closed-loop’ production process that keeps waste to a minimum without compromising on quality. So far, they have saved over 40 tons of wax from landfill. It wouldn't be a Greendale Christmas without these fantastic festive tipples from Lyme Bay Winery! We can't get enough of their moreish, smooth and rich Butterscotch and Mocha Cream Liqueurs, love to warm up with traditional Mulled Wine and Christmas Mead, and thoroughly enjoy their seasonal spirits including honey, cherry brandy and elderberry & port liqueur on a cold evening. All are produced in Devon's Axe Valley; everything Lyme Bay do is inspired by traditional recipes and improved by their drive to push boundaries & years of experience working with the country's most talented winemakers and brewing experts.

The Stan’s Paws journey began back in June 2020, after hours upon hours of searching for natural and healthy treats for their trio of spirited spaniels without any luck, the Stan's Paws team decided to take it into their own hands, and supply pet owners with all-natural, nutritious, wholesome, and healthy products that dogs will love repeatedly.

Sourcing all their stock from the UK and EU, Stan’s Paws are committed to using only ingredients from sustainable sources that are as eco-friendly as possible! The treats are completely wheat and gluten-free, hypoallergenic and raw-hide-free for the perfect chew, making them great for pups with sensitive tummies.

In 2015, multi awarding-winning brewer and publican Olly Bainbridge produced his first beer through Cuckoo brewing (using spare capacity in an existing brewery), before opening a part-crowdfunded 6 barrel brewery in Exmouth in 2015. Crossed Anchors Brewing launched their first finely-crafted beers at The Grapevine’s 2015 Beer Festival. They were met with instant success and fast formed a notoriety that has found both local and non-local beer fans eagerly seeking and sampling every new batch with increased enthusiasm. Since its infancy Olly has been very clear that quality and integrity are key to brewing, leading to this fantastic selection of beers that are heavy on taste and flavour. The beers come in 750ml bottles, which make them perfect gifting to local beer lovers and even better for sharing, however you're celebrating this Christmas period.
