This dairy-free chocolate ball is made from our award-winning organic 'milk' chocolate. We tease you with this combination as not only do you get a delicious organic 'milk' chocolate ball, but inside the box, you will find a bag of Moofreesas, our 'milk' chocolate-covered crunchy rice balls (just like Maltesers) Mmmmmm...This Easter ball is made in our dedicated, free-from UK factories, so you can be sure that each egg is 100% dairy free, gluten free, soya free. Moo Free is an ethical business whose team includes several amazing people with Autism.

Moo Free was founded in May 2010 by Andrea & Mike Jessop. Andrea is gluten intolerant and Mike lactose intolerant. After first selling chocolates online, plus Andrea’s son having a dairy allergy himself, they were made aware of the difficulty parents face trying to find Dairy-Free Easter eggs and Advent calendars. Feeling reckless one day, they decided to have a go making some themselves. Over the next few years the recipe was tweaked and volunteers were forced to try dozens of samples until, finally in May 2010 Moo Free was officially born. They chose to go down the organic route - as that was their preference in their own life - and use organic cocoa that hails from organic farms in the San Francisco de Macoris area of the tropical Dominican Republic. To provide another, lower price point they also started using UTZ/Rainforest Alliance cocoa from Africa for their everyday chocolate. This means when you buy Moo-Free chocolate you will not only get a great tasting chocolate, but you are helping to support their ethics, the environment and the people along the journey of the cocoa. They underwent a rebrand in 2020 to ‘look more grown up’ but their mission has remained the same: create great tasting free-from, vegan chocolate, ethically source the highest quality ingredients and sustainable packaging, provide an inclusive environment, giving real opportunities to people who need them and to always act in a humane way.
