This delicious loaf is described by Hobbs House as a ‘torpedo of joy’, and we can see (and taste) why! Full of figs and walnuts, it’s made from a blend of black treacle dough and rye sourdough; we think it’s particularly good with a hunk or two of Devon Blue Cheese.

Origins

Based in the medieval market town of Chipping Sodbury, near Bristol, Hobbs House Bakery has been baking bread since 1980. Its staff of 20 skilled bakers produce the freshest handmade bread and patisserie, using traditional overnight methods. Hobbs House Bakery is soil association accredited, and is known for its fine range of organic breads.

Storage Instructions Store in a cool, dry place and use within two days of receipt. This cooked loaf is not suitable for home-freezing. For loaves suitable for freezing please see our part baked loaves.
Ingredients

White WHEAT flour (with added Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin) ; Water; figs (11%); (Dried Figs, Rice Flour) WALNUTS (5%) Organic RYE flour; YEAST; BARLEY malt (BARLEY Malt Suger).
Dietary For allergens see ingredients in CAPITALS. Please note that Hobbs House products are made in an environment that produces items containing nuts, milk, eggs and sesame, as well as various other cereals containing gluten (spelt, barley and oats).

Click & Collect FREE - Order online and collect from our Farm Shop, You can choose to collect on a ‘specified day’ (Monday to Sunday) during checkout. We will email you when your produce is ready for collection.

Local Delivery £4.95 (Free on orders over £50) - We offer local delivery for customers living in the EX1 to EX5, & EX8 to EX11 postcode areas. Choose a ‘specified day’(Monday to Sunday) during checkout. Please note: All orders to the remaining EX postcodes will be delivered using our standard national courier.

National Delivery £7.95 (Free on orders over £50) - We offer nationwide delivery. Choose a delivery date (Monday to Sunday) during checkout.

Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
