Greendale Love Local Food Festival Announced

As well as bringing tasty treats from our own Bakery, Deli and Fishmongers, we’ll also be hosting lots of fantastic local food producers at the festival, so there’ll be fabulous food galore. You’ll find plenty to choose from, including gorgeous cheeses from Sharpham, Quicke’s and Curworthy Cheese, and hair-raising hot sauces from Hatari and Daddy D’s. There will be sensational seasonings, and Deli delights – think pies, olives, quiches, Scotch eggs.

SWEET TREATS

Sweet tooth? Don’t worry – with ice cream from Granny Gothards and The Udder Stuff, Baytree & McQueen fudge, churros, chocolate, milkshakes and treats from Karlie’s Cookie Jar and Big Bakes Bakery to choose from, we’ve got you covered! Many of the stalls will be offering tasting samples, so you can ‘taste test’ before you buy, too.

The castle courtyard will be filled with flavour, thanks to some of our favourite local street-food vendors. Alongside burgers and more from the Greendale BBQ, choose from locally-produced pizza, falafel, fish & chips and Caribbean food (or don’t choose, and try a bit of everything!).

Whether you’re a real ale fan, cider lover, wine buff or spirit afficionado, you’ll find plenty to pique your interest at the Love Local Food Festival. We’ll also have soft drinks from Jamu Wild Water, Boo Chi Kombucha and Jolly’s Cornish Drinks, alongside some of our favourite locally-produced artisan coffees. We’ll be setting up a traditional-style bar at the castle, with local draught beer and ciders, plus festival-exclusive cocktails will be served in the courtyard.

ENTERTAINMENT

We’ll be hosting plenty of foodie experiences, street food, live music, a traditional bar, al fresco cocktails, children’s activities and more. Take a deep dive into the local food scene with ice cream and cheese making demos, gin and chocolate tasting experiences and more. We’ll be setting up stalls in the castle itself and in the courtyard, seconds away from the High Street – we’d love for you to join us! The event is completely free – no tickets required!
