Often used with other veg to make a delicious base for soups and stews, Leeks will also shine in their own right: try slicing them finely, then gently pan-frying in butter until soft, sweet and beautifully caramelised. Wash before use.
We work hard to ensure that the fruit and vegetables we sell are fresh and high in quality. If we don’t grow them ourselves, we source them from carefully chosen suppliers, preferring to buy locally whenever possible.
To ensure Leeks are clean before cooking, separate the leaves and rinse them under running water. Leeks will make delicious soup, from Vichyssoise to Leek and Potato, and can also be pan-fried, stir-fried or even steamed.
Click & Collect FREE - Order online and collect from our Farm Shop, on the A3052 Sidmouth road near Exeter. Collection options include ‘Same day’ (orders placed by 12pm), ‘Next day’ (orders placed by 2pm) or ‘Specified day’ (up to seven days in the future).
Local Delivery £4.95 - We offer a local delivery service for customers living in the EX1 to EX15 postcode areas. Choose from ‘Same day’ (orders placed by 12pm), ‘Next day’ (orders placed by 2pm) or ‘Specified day’ delivery.
Standard National Delivery From £7.95 - Order before 2pm and receive your items the next day, between 8am and 8pm. You can also specify whether you’d like it delivered in the morning or on a different day (Tuesday to Saturday).
Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated polystyrene box and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
