Hand cut by Greendale’s skilled master butchers, our lamb cutlets are trimmed carefully to leave just enough fat on the bone for maximum flavour and juiciness.
Greendale lamb comes from our own flock of breeding ewes, which are predominantly traditional breeds such as Suffolk's and continental X's. After enjoying spring and summer grazing on the rich pasture at our East Devon farm, our lambs are carefully selected when they reach the correct weight - they travel just eight miles to a local abattoir, the short journey helping to keep stress to a minimum. Hung for a minimum of ten days, the meat becomes even more flavoursome and tender. Our master butchers then prepare it on-site at Greendale Farm Shop, skilfully turning it into plump chops, classic roasts, burgers, meatballs and much, much more.
Each cutlet is hand-cut from a part of the animal called ‘best end of neck’, well known for its tenderness. With this in mind, remember to watch your cooking times – you don’t want to overdo it.
To pan fry your cutlets, season them with salt and pepper, then splash a little oil into a pan and sit it over a medium to high heat. As soon as the oil starts to smoke, add the cutlets and fry for a couple of minutes on each side. Remove from the pan, leave to rest for about five minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Local Delivery £4.95 - We offer a local delivery service for customers living in the EX1 to EX15 postcode areas. Choose from ‘Same day’ (orders placed by 12pm), ‘Next day’ (orders placed by 2pm) or ‘Specified day’ delivery. (up to seven days in the future, Monday to Sunday).
National Delivery From £7.95 - Order before 2pm and receive your items the next day, between 8am and 8pm. You can also specify whether you’d like it delivered in the morning or on a different day (up to seven days in the future, Tuesday to Sunday).
Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
