Product description

Made with pork from the Greendale farm, this mouth-watering Honey-Roast Ham is hand-rolled and slow-cooked for five hours. After cooking, the joint is scored all over, and local honey is poured over it – it’s then left to rest while the honey infuses its delicious flavour throughout the meat. Best consumed within three days.

Origins

Greendale pork comes from the pigs we breed and rear at our East Devon farm. Our breeding sows spend their lives out in the fields, where they are provided with food, water, shelter and space to roam with their young piglets. The piglets are weaned when they reach 40kg in weight, then moved into our straw-bedded barns, where they eat a natural diet of cereals mixed with organic whey. We follow strict animal welfare guidelines, including those required by the Red Tractor Food Assurance Scheme; we also use an abattoir less than eight miles away from our farm, minimising this potentially stressful journey for the animals. As a result, the pork our pigs produce is lean, nicely marbled and exceptionally well flavoured, as well as being fully traceable back to our farm. It is butchered, hung and matured on-site at Greendale Farm Shop.

Local Delivery £4.95 (Free on orders over £50) - We offer local delivery for customers living in the EX1 to EX5, & EX8 to EX11 postcode areas. Choose a ‘specified day’(Monday to Sunday) during checkout. Please note: All orders to the remaining EX postcodes will be delivered using our standard national courier.

National Delivery £7.95 (Free on orders over £50) - We offer nationwide delivery. Choose a delivery date (Monday to Sunday) during checkout.

Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
