These succulent, hand-cut strips of free-range chicken breast are ready to stir-fry for a tasty meal in moments.
Greendale poultry products are sourced from our carefully chosen supplier, Creedy Carver, based at Merrifield Farm in Crediton, Devon. Peter and Sue Coleman pride themselves on producing top-quality chickens whilst maintaining a very sympathetic approach to bird welfare. From one day old, their chicks remain in temperature-controlled brooder units; at 28 days old they’re moved to free range units, which are either straw-bale shacks or special chicken arks. From here, they can roam grassy fields while enjoying protection from predators and the elements, thanks to their specialist housing. The birds are fed a low-density diet free from GM ingredients, additives or antibiotics, which allows them to grow more slowly, reaching maturity at their own pace. This simple lifestyle and natural environment combine to produce the delicious-tasting chicken that Greendale customers love.
Cutting by hand allows ensures these strips are regularly sized, so that they cook evenly together. Do watch the cooking times, as they won’t need long in a hot wok.
To stir-fry, first heat a wok or large frying pan over a medium-high heat for a couple of minutes. When the wok starts to smoke (or a droplet of water dripped into the pan fizzles away immediately), add 2tbsp oil and allow it to heat through for a few seconds. Add your chicken strips, together with any spices of your choice, and let the meat sear initially, then keep it moving around the pan until fully cooked through. It will take about five minutes for the meat to cook, so half-way through this time, add evenly-cut strips of slower-cooking veg (e.g. carrots, onions or broccoli) and just a dash of your chosen stir-fry sauce, and continue to stir. When the meat is almost done, add the quicker-cooking vegetables (mushrooms, beansprouts), and then add the rest of your sauce. When everything is cooked through, serve immediately on a bed of rice or noodles.

Standard National Delivery £7.95 - Order before 2pm and receive your items the next day, between 8am and 8pm. You can also specify whether you’d like it delivered in the morning or on a different day (up to seven days in the future, Tuesday to Friday).
Saturday & Sunday Delivery £10.00 - You can also choose to have your items delivered on Saturday or Sunday.
Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
