Generously sliced, traditionally cured back bacon – it’s what Sunday mornings were made for!
From our trusted Teignmouth-based supplier, Greendale bacon and gammon is made with pure, additive-free British pork. It’s home-cooked and prepared in Devon, using a traditional recipe which gives a light, distinctively-flavoured cure; the smoked bacon and gammon are hung over oak chips, which impart a balanced, delicious smokiness to the meat.
Back bacon is lean meat, cut from the loin. Traditionally dry-cured here in Devon, it’s one of our best-selling products, and it’s not hard to see why!
To pan fry, simply heat a heavy-based pan over a medium heat for a few moments, then add the bacon and fry for a couple of minutes on either side until cooked through and as crisp as you want it to be. To grill, place under a preheated grill for a couple of minutes on each side (watch it to make sure it doesn’t burn).
|Storage Instructions||Store in fridge and consume within 2-3 days of receipt, or freeze immediately. Suitable for freezing. All items are labelled with use by dates.|

Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
