Hand-cut for nice, even cubes, Greendale diced lamb is taken from lean, succulent leg meat – perfect for casseroles, curries, kebabs and more.
Greendale lamb comes from our own flock of breeding ewes, which are predominantly traditional breeds such as Suffolk's and continental X's. After enjoying spring and summer grazing on the rich pasture at our East Devon farm, our lambs are carefully selected when they reach the correct weight - they travel just eight miles to a local abattoir, the short journey helping to keep stress to a minimum. Hung for a minimum of ten days, the meat becomes even more flavoursome and tender. Our master butchers then prepare it on-site at Greendale Farm Shop, skilfully turning it into plump chops, classic roasts, burgers, meatballs and much, much more.
Diced lamb is great to have on ‘stand-by’; if you’re not planning to eat it within a day or so of receiving it, freeze it straight away. Use it within a month of freezing, and always use on the day of defrosting.
Pre-browning your diced lamb can help enhance its flavour if you plan to braise or slow-cook it; simply pan-fry the cubes in a little oil over a high heat for a few minutes, turning regularly until browned all over. Then add them to your chosen recipe for a long, slow cook that will give a tender, flavoursome finished result.

Standard National Delivery £7.95 - Order before 2pm and receive your items the next day, between 8am and 8pm. You can also specify whether you’d like it delivered in the morning or on a different day (up to seven days in the future, Tuesday to Friday).
Saturday & Sunday Delivery £10.00 - You can also choose to have your items delivered on Saturday or Sunday.
Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
