Origins

From our trusted Teignmouth_based supplier, Greendale Gammon is made with pure, additive_free British pork. It’s home_cooked and prepared in Devon, using a traditional recipe which gives a light, distinctively_flavoured cure.

Butcher's Tips

Originating from the pig’s hind leg, a roast Gammon joint is just the right size for a great Sunday lunch with the family.

How to Cook

To boil, place the Gammon Joint in a large pan, cover with cold water and add any flavourings (e.g. peppercorns, cloves, a bay leaf). Bring to the boil, then lower the heat, cover the pan and simmer. You’ll need to give the joint 20 minutes’ simmering time for every 450g in weight, plus a further 20 minutes (or until cooked through).

When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
