Creamily smooth, with blue veining spread throughout, Colston Bassett has a full, well-balanced flavour, and is regarded as one of the finest Stilton cheeses available. Made with pasteurised milk.
Stilton Cheese takes its name from the village of Stilton, Cambridgeshire, where it was originally made. Today, the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) stipulates that Stilton can only be made in the counties of Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire; currently, the cheese is made in six dairies spread across the three counties.
|Storage Instructions||Keep refrigerated. Once opened, use within 5 days. For optimum freshness once opened, rewrap the cheese so it is well sealed and airtight to avoid it drying out.|
