These Lamb and Mint Burgers are hand-made by the Greendale Butchers, using quality, lean meat from our own Devon-pastured animals, and just enough mint to enhance the rich flavour perfectly.

Origins

Greendale lamb is supplied by David Lockwood, who farms in nearby Aylesbeare. After enjoying the rich grazing pastures of East Devon, the lambs are carefully selected when they reach the correct weight; they are slaughtered at a local abattoir to keep stress to a minimum. Hung for a minimum of ten days, the meat becomes even more flavoursome and tender. Our master butchers then prepare it on_site at Greendale Farm Shop, skilfully turning it into plump chops, classic roasts, burgers, meatballs and much, much more.

Butcher's Tips

We prefer to use meat from the leaner parts of the animal when we make our lamb burgers – that way, you get all the sizzle and flavour, with less of the fat. 

How to Cook

If you’re lighting the barbecue, throw on a couple of these tasty burgers for a quick and easy meal. Simply brush both sides of each burger with olive oil and place over your preheated charcoal or gas_fired grill. Cook for about 4_5 minutes on either side – check the burgers are cooked all the way through before serving. You can also pan_fry or oven bake them to equally delicious effect.

Click & Collect FREE - Order online and collect from our Farm Shop, You can choose to collect on a ‘specified day’ (starting approx. one week from ordering) during checkout. We will email you when your produce is ready for collection.

Local Delivery £4.95 (Free on orders over £50) - We offer local delivery for customers living in the EX1 to EX5, and EX8 to EX11 postcode areas. Choose a ‘specified day’ during checkout.  Please note: All orders to the remaining EX postcodes will be delivered using our standard national courier.

National Delivery £7.95 (Free on orders over £50) - We offer nationwide delivery. Choose a delivery date during checkout.

National Saturday Delivery £7.95 - We offer nationwide delivery on Saturdays. Choose a delivery date during checkout.

Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
