These little beauties are known as 'Graffiti Aubergines', thanks to their amazing-looking striated skin. Similar in shape and size to the standard Italian aubergine, this is a quick-cooking variety that will work wonders in stews, dips and even grilled on the barbecue.

Origins

We work hard to ensure that the fruit and vegetables we sell are fresh and high in quality. If we don’t grow them ourselves, we source them from carefully chosen suppliers, preferring to buy locally whenever possible.

How to Cook

Previously, received wisdom dictated that Aubergine should be sliced, then covered in salt and left to drain before cooking, to remove ‘bitterness’. Happily, this somewhat unhealthy advice is no longer considered correct; simply wash and trim the Aubergine before cooking.

Pre-Order for Christmas - Order by December 21st and we will send your items out or have them ready for collection between 01/12/2019 to 31/12/2019 (exclusions apply).

Click & Collect FREE - Order online and collect from our Farm Shop, on the A3052 Sidmouth road near Exeter. Collection options include ‘Same day’ (orders placed by 12pm), ‘Next day’ (orders placed by 2pm) or ‘Specified day’ (up to seven days in the future, Monday to Sunday).

Local Delivery £4.95 - We offer a local delivery service for customers living in the EX1 to EX15 postcode areas. Choose from ‘Same day’ (orders placed by 12pm), ‘Next day’ (orders placed by 2pm) or ‘Specified day’ delivery. (up to seven days in the future, Monday to Sunday).

Standard National Delivery £7.95 - Order before 2pm and receive your items the next day, between 8am and 8pm. You can also specify whether you’d like it delivered in the morning or on a different day (up to seven days in the future, Tuesday to Friday).

Saturday & Sunday Delivery £10.00 - You can also choose to have your items delivered on Saturday or Sunday.  

Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
