They are delighted to say their Vintage Organic Cheddar was named at The Nation’s Favourite Organic Product in 2019 at the BOOM Awards hosted by the Soil Association thanks to votes from the general public!

Godminster make their cheddar to a traditional 90-year-old recipe and mature it for up to 12 months. After that, they select the very best cheese to make into one of our award-winning truckles. It has a rich depth of flavour with a smooth texture. All of their cheese is made using pasteurised milk and is certified organic by the Soil Association. They contain no artificial preservatives, and they are suitable for vegetarians.

Their chutney was developed to complement the creaminess of their Vintage Organic Cheddar with its balance of sweetness, acidity, and fruitiness. It has a superb, natural flavour inspired by the fruits and roots that grow on the farm.

Finally both the Cheddar and Chutney pair together beautifully with their Rosemary Water Biscuits.

PLEASE NOTE:

This gift set comes packaged in an attractive gift box made from recycled cardboard that is also recyclable. The glass jar is widely recyclable.

Life at Godminster is governed by a healthy respect for tradition and an enterprising spirit of innovation. There have been people living and working the land at Godminster, in Bruton, Somerset, for over five centuries - records show that there has been a dairy farm on the site for more than 100 years. Godminster was certified organic in 1999 and, not long after, decided that Cheddar cheese made the best use of its milk. More recently, following careful research, the focus has expanded towards creating a selection of other quality products through the inclusion of high quality local ingredients and producers.
