Region: Lapostolle Atalayas Vineyards, Casablanca Valley

Grape: 100% Chardonnay.

Tasting Color: Bright yellow with golden edge.

Nose: Incredible expression of sweet spices as clove along with fresh fruit aromas such as lychee and quince.

Palate: The palate is elegant, with high volume in the mouth and vibrant long lasting finish.

Service and Food pairing: Serve at 12 ° C (53 ° F). Poultry.

Origins

As a general winemaking philosophy, in our Cuvée Alexandre Chardonnay we look for elegance, balance, freshness and ageing potential. 100% of the grapes were hand harvested in small 14 kilos crates, then the whole grape bunch was directly pressed and the juice naturally decanted in stainless steel tanks at low temperature. The 2016 vintage, 56% of the juice was fermented in French oak barrels at 15-18°C and 44% was fermented in stainless steel tanks at 12-14°C.

Our Cuvée Alexandre Chardonnay was partially aged in French oak barrels, with a 56% for 11 months ( 46% in new oak and 10% in second and third use oak ). The result is a well-integrated oak with elegant structure to enhance the natural acidity and freshness. No malolactic fermentation was done.

Fresh Greendale Produce - Meat and seafood will be bagged and ready to cook or freeze on delivery. All fresh meat and fish will be vacuum-packed and labelled with use-by dates and a suggested frozen shelf life. Packaging or labelling may change depending on preparation or delivery limitations. When the meat or fish has been packaged it is immediately placed in an insulated envelopes and surrounded with chilled gel-packs to keep it cool and in perfect condition.
