
The Ultimate Cheeseburger
We may be biased, but we believe our hand-made burgers are a cut above the competition – for a quick and easy meal or a reliably tasty BBQ, it’s hard to go wrong with a Greendale burger. That said, adding a slice or two of your favourite cheese during cooking will take any burger to the next level; for research purposes (obviously!) we decided to try out a few different cheese-pairing choices for our burgers, with the result that several beautiful new partnerships have now been born!

CHILLI BEEF & SMOKED CHEESE
With just the right amount of spice and heat, our new Chilli Beef Burger pairs brilliantly with the mellow smokiness of Applewood Smoked Cheddar – add a few slices of avocado or a dollop of tomato salsa to your burger bun, and enjoy a burger/taco hybrid that’s out of this world.

RED ONION & BRIE
Also new this season, our Caramelised Red Onion Pork Burger is delicious in its own right, but a slice of smooth, creamy Brie really balances the sweetness of the onion. We especially like Sharpham Brie, which is hand-made with fresh Jersey cows’ milk here in Devon.

BEEF & STILTON
Our classic Greendale Beef Burger is popular for good reason – simple and delicious, we love it as it is, though we can’t deny that a slice of rich Stilton complements the flavourful beef perfectly; our choice would be Colston Bassett, widely regarded as one of the finest Stiltons available.

WESTCOUNTRY APPLE & CHEESE
We think the obvious choice for our Pork & Apple Burger is a mature Cheddar; our best-selling Twanger Cheddar hits all the right notes, with a slice of its tangy creaminess acting as the perfect foil for the slight appley sweetness of the burger.

GREEK-STYLE LAMB
Flavoured with just a little mint, our Lamb & Mint Burger is deliciously different when topped with smooth, creamy and slightly sharp feta cheese - feta and lamb is a summery-tasting combination that really works
